Romans 12:10Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves
The Word of God teaches Christians not to demonstrate cold indifference or superfluous politeness to their family in Christ, but to manifest tender love. Love is not only feelings, but also concrete actions. It was said about Christ that having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end (John 13:1) and at the last supper with His disciples, He got up, took off His coat and served His friends by washing their feet.
As we try to emulate Jesus Christ whose service was far from formal, we, contemporary Christians, ought to go back to serving one another in casual settings, practicing our Christian faith in everyday life, even while doing household chores.
The Men’s Annual 2-3 day Camping Retreat at the lake allows us the opportunity to become closer to one another, to share our worries, joys and to fellowship while serving one another.
Men of all ages are invited to join us, if you are able to do so. We are so very thankful to our sisters, wives and mothers for releasing us go and blessing us for such a time of fellowship. Please pray for us that this would be a time of closing the gap between generations, of passing on valuable experience from the old to the young, of forming young men as future leaders and fathers helping them realize their role as men and their functional responsibilities in a family, society and church, and may our time in the beautiful California outdoors be blessed.
May the Lord bless all the sisters and brothers of our church, along with our families and friends.
Love,
Pastor Yuri Georgiev
