Pastors Greeting:
Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost
As Jesus Christ told the parable of the lost sheep, he called attention to the feeling of joy that fills a man who finds that which was lost. Further on, Christ speaks of the joy in finding the soul of man: “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety nine just persons, which need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).
This speaks of the Savior’s joy when He sees a sinner who repents. The Bible teaches that all people are sinners and all should repent to receive salvation.
The Church, as the Body of Christ, is one with its Savior, that’s why believers, who have once experienced the joy of their own salvation, rejoice at the sight of repentance or in hearing testimony of those who turn to God.
I, like all my brothers and sisters of the Russian Gospel Temple, was deeply moved by the young people’s testimonies of their salvation and desire to make a covenant with the Lord through water baptism.
I am sincerely happy for each one of you, dear young people. The heavens triumph and we rejoice and celebrate the victory of Jesus in your life. We pray for all of you and hope that your decision to follow Christ would be firm and steadfast. Please accept my heartfelt congratulations and may the day of your water baptism, September 2, 2012 be memorable forever!
With love,
Pastor Yuri Georgiev
