How fast a year has gone by! A year that was filled with joyful and sad feelings, smiles and tears, sunny and gloomy days. It has carried it all to the past. We, people, are powerless to return the past and correct mistakes, or relive our life anew. Therefore, starting this New Year, I would like us to greet it as a new precious opportunity, as a gift from above from our Creator, the Author of our life; and repeat a prayer of Moses, man of God: “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
Remembering the past days of the year gone by, let’s meditate how our Heavenly Father guided and directed us during every day, showing His loyalty and love: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for Him” (The Lamentations of Jeremiah 3:22-24). From the bottom of my heart I wish you, my dear friends, to remember in this New Year that the Lord is always thinking and taking care of us; He will never forget or abandon His children. Be strong in the Lord and His mighty power and remember that the best years of our lives with Him are still ahead.
Happy New Year!
Love,
Pastor Yuri Georgiev
