Psalm 119:2Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart
Mathew 16:16 records Peter’s answer to the question of Jesus Christ “Who do people take Me for?” – “Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of God”.
Did Peter know that the truthful answer he gave was not the result of his knowledge or intellect, but that it was a revelation of the Heavenly Father? Christ then proceeds to give Peter a number of other revelations: about the Church, its power, hell and the mission Peter would have to carry by using the power given to him by God.
It is very important that Biblical truths become our personal revelations taught by the Holy Spirit, it’s also equally important to grasp and apply to our lives all that has been revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:6 talks about believers, that by grace we are saved, and that the God who is rich in mercies has raised us from the dead and through Christ Jesus has seated us in heaven.
According to the Word of God, the Church of Jesus Christ is victorious and represents believers who not only know about their power in Christ Jesus, but who also use it in their daily lives.
Let us therefore as a church, be confident in our position in Christ, given to us by the victory of Jesus Christ over all powers of the enemy.
“For whoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith” (1st John 5:4).
