On March 11, 2012, in our church we will have a special service in honor of our elderly brothers and sisters. The main theme and motto for this year will be words from Psalm 20:5 “We will be glad in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will put up our flags”.
Our fathers and grandfathers traveled a difficult life road. The horrible reality of life in the former Soviet Union was their daily life. They were forced to make difficult choices, the consequences of which were either life or death, prison or freedom. They had to choose whether to reject God and live a secure life or put themselves and their families in danger. We are thankful to God for those, who in the name of our God, carried the banner to the end; they were not cowards and they did not betray their faith.
What awaits our new generation in the future? Our prayers are that God would reveal Himself to them. That their faith, being tested, would be more valuable than pure gold.
