Lamentations 3:21-23
Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Dear friends,
Reading the beautiful verses above, I want to pose a question: “Do we notice God’s faithfulness on a daily basis?” He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous” (Math. 5:45).
Only he who is enlightened by God and renewed by the Holy Spirit can understand and notice in all detail the consistency with which He takes care of us in various areas of our lives. Thanks be to God for the daily bread, for the roof over our heads, for good health. Jesus Christ said: “I am with you until the last days”. Indeed, He is with us in all of our needs, not only physical, but spiritual as well. God does not abandon us whether we are rejoicing or crying. Apostle Paul said in his message to Corinthians that God is with us even when we experience difficulties and temptations, and He wants us to overcome, not to break down, and that proves His faithfulness towards us.
«No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Giving examples from the lives of the older generations, Paul is trying to comfort his peers and notes that temptations coming into our lives are the same as everyone else’s. They do not differ from what other people have dealt with. If we trust our Heavenly Father, we shall definitely feel His sincere care and see His endless faithfulness.
May God help us all to rely on Him alone and hope with all of our hearts for His mercy every day!
With love,
Pastor Yuri Georgiev
